Flash 9 Beta - Its out

The latest release of adobes anticipated flash 9 has emerged in beta mode, not sure really what to expect as I’ve moved away from using flash in development projects as I didn’t think the infrastructure was in place to support growth in the market. Don’t get me wrong flash does have its place and you can roll out different types of projects pretty quickly. I see from a range of tutorial flash is receiving a lot of advertising press for use in mobile devices with rich media content a definite area that will surly emerge for mobile media though I guessing the overall take up will be slow if the platform is given a giant push in the right direction, it’s a new area that might grow in the future but it depend on weither we see some use application coming on stream.

Back to Flash 9, I’m going to have a play around with some of the new features and looking at how the work flow for other media development mainly media and video presentation has been presented. Still really the same some extra objects dealing with the dynamic loading of bitmaps. I really need to get connected to a broadband source as dial up is killing me well form the inside out :) Like the RSS demo only if I could get around to having a proper look at it. Not at all possible with my connection at the moment.

With Ajax penetrating more of the market share, Flash 9 main markets seems limited but its something that’s going to be around for a while. Maybe a direction in the moble market particular mobile video and audio.
